Introducing Fussy Coffee, a brand known for its exceptional coffee and delightful food offerings. With a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, Fussy Coffee creates a welcoming environment for its customers. The pour-over coffee is especially noteworthy, with its rich flavors and impeccable taste. The menu also includes a surprising twist with their delicious pumpkin spice latte, which features a cohesive and flavorful blend that is not overly sweet. While the food offerings are decent, some customers have noted that the wait time can be a bit long. However, Fussy Coffee remains a favorite spot for many, offering easy parking and refreshing iced tea. The establishment boasts a charming aesthetic, with light wood tables, quirky light fixtures, and tasteful local art on the walls. Overall, Fussy Coffee is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts looking for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Reviews
Nice coffee + food, fun atmosphere and nice staff. I really, really enjoy their pour-overs. Recently, I was feeling a little festive and found their pumpkin spice latte surprisingly delicious as well - very cohesive and flavorful, and not overly sweet.
Its decent food but honestly the wait brings it down. I am a fan of the egg burrito, but for it to be a 35+ minute wait for 1 burrito everytime is just crazy to me.. I'd go here daily if I can stop in quick before work to grab food but with the wait, it makes me late even if I'm early for work. Even ordering through the app and going at the pickup window I still end up waiting...
Edit: dropping 1 more star due to consistently being slow for 1 burrito. Unfortunately I won't be returning as it's just more of a nuisance unless I'm an hour early for work
Great spot. Parking was super easy. Yummy iced tea food looks good but didn't have any this time.
are you, too, one of those people who loves a third-wave coffee joint with narrow light wood tables pushed up against a floor-to-ceiling window, ~quirky~ light fixtures, tasteful local art on the walls, & depressing music that’s probably Objectively Good (thanks to a barista who, when you ask about the music, is like “you’ve … never heard of elliott smith??? he’s pretty famous”)…if so, you will enjoy the stylings of fussy coffee, which is probably my favorite place to while away several hours sipping an iced latte and “””studying””” in as much sunlight as new haven can muster. good coffee, good food, good music. if you’re there alone do not get the fries, it is too much food for one person.
Great coffee roast, very busy place and you might have to wait to find table especially on Sundays. Their flat white was amazing and their walnut double chocolate cookie is one of the best i have had. Very well balanced. also their avocado toast is spot on. very bright and open atmosphere. it's a not so fussy calm place.
My second visit to Fussy and it was just as enjoyable as my first! This time we had iced lattes, poke bowls and the kale salad. Loved all three...but especially enjoyed the daikon radishes in my poke bowl. The staff was super friendly and the scene was relaxing with picnic tables out front to sit with my pup. Would highly recommend...for both the coffee and the food. Definitely not your typical coffee shop.
$40+ for a small drink, one regular drink, and a couple small bites. My small latte came out weirdly sour. Like almost vinegar-sour, which was disappointing.
We got weird defensive responses from the staff when I asked, in a friendly tone, what the status was on our takeout order. The food itself was okay but everything was so overpriced for the small portions they serve, and it came out really late.
Really wish I had just gone to Starbucks or something. Good atmosphere though.
I have been here a few times, have always enjoyed my coffee(it’s delicious!) and the food I order. Nice staff and cool spot. It’s 5 minutes away from my job so I can come by on my lunch break-and 10 minutes away from my house.
Today my friend and I stopped in to catch up. We noticed that it was packed, but we said no problem and decided that we would sit outside even though it was only about 55 degrees. It just so happened that there were 2 seats open against the windows and another patron nicely moved over so we could sit next to each other. We were talking, not loudly- actually lower than normal- and we kept getting dirty looks from the 2 girls next to us. I understand that this coffee shop is close to Yale and many people come to do work. But if you are coming to a public place, expect there to be noise or people talking. If you want quiet, go to a library. I was really turned off by that behavior. We are just 2 friends catching up. I completely understand that this is at no fault of the owners. I just post this as a warning if that kind of thing bothers you. We kept talking, as we are allowed to do!! I’ll be back- and I’ll bring more friends! 😝LOL
